Himalayan Mountains
The Himalayas are the tallest mountain range in the world! It goes through Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and China. White snow covers each peak and the range contains the tallest point on earth: Mount Everest. This Giant mountain is located at the border of Nepal. Although the Everest is not in China, the tallest mountain in China is also located in the Himalayas. It is called Gurla Mandhata and it stands at 7,728m high.

Gobi DesertThe Gobi desert is located in-between south Mongolia and northern China and is a rain shadow desert. It obtains no rain at all as of the Himalayan mountain range blocking rain-carrying clouds from the Indian Ocean reaching the Gobi territory. The Gobi desert had many names such as 'Shāmò' and 'the endless sea'.
